Dr. Ben Möbius has been the Managing Director of the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) since May 2015. Möbius is partner of the "InnoTrans", Co-Editor of the technical magazine Eisenbahntechnische Rundschau (ETR), a member of the advisory bodies of the International Railway Review and the trade fair "transport logistic". He represents the German Railway Industry in the Expert Group on the Rail Supply Industry of the EU Commission.
Möbius studied political science and history at the Universities of Hamburg, Bamberg and Cambridge. After having worked as a journalist for the "Hamburger Abendblatt" and "F.A.Z." Möbius started his career in the Federation of German Industries (BDI) as the personal assistant to and speechwriter for the former BDI President Dr. Rogowski in 2001. In 2007 Möbius became the Head of Office of the BDI President and the BDI Executive Board as well as the Head of Department for European Affairs. From 2008 to 2015 he was Head of Department and responsible for mobility, infrastructure, telecommunications and digital economy. Möbius was the Managing Director of the Traffic Committee of the BDI and the Committee for Digital Economy of the BDI.
Möbius is married, has two daughters and lives in Berlin.

Dipl.-Ing. Axel Schuppe was born in Berlin in 1963. After his studies of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the TU Chemnitz he began his career in the railway industry in 1990 at the then AEG-Westinghouse as a design engineer, and he was responsible for vehicle projects at home and abroad.
At Adtranz he worked successfully from 1996 in positions in the Engineering and Technical Controlling and made a significant contribution to the introduction of the first low floor tram in Japan. From 1999 he was a technical manager in Mannheim and Berlin.
Since 2001 he had been the manager of the Engineering Department in the Division of Propulsion & Controls at Bombardier Transportation in Hennigsdorf. There he was responsible for the successful integration of the Adtranz organisational units into the Bombardier Group and for the strategic reorientation of the department to become a system partner.
Since 1 April 2005 Axel Schuppe has been the General Manager of the German Association of the Railway Industry (VDB) e.V.
