Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia  – The largest railway event in Southeast Asia opens its gates to an international audience. The German railway industry's mission at Rail solutions Asia 2019 is clear: to make mobility even more climate- and customer-friendly, safer and more efficient. Zero emissions, zero accidents, but 100 percent travel experience – made in Germany. "As the German railway industry, we are particularly pleased to support the countries of the ASEAN-region in their ambitious visions for more rail traffic with innovative and sustainable solutions and products invented and made in Germany" says Andreas Becker, Vice-President of the German Railway Industry Association (VDB). Rail Transportation can be an engine for both the people and the economy – for mobility and prosperity and of course for climate protection. Vice-President Becker offers German partnership: "Our experienced companies see themselves as long-term and reliable partners to support the development of rail traffic in all areas - in close cooperation with their local partners".

The German Railway Industry Association speaks for 200 member companies and their more than 52,000 employees. In doing so, the VDB stands for the entire supply chain: from world-famous system houses to excellent medium-sized suppliers and young companies.  From 2015 to 2018 the German railway industry achieved an annual turnover of 12 billion euros. On average nearly50 percent were generated from exports. Close cooperation with Asia and the Unites States of America reflects the excellence of the railway industry in Germany.
